Its safe to say that the last few months have been a whirlwind of change but in true British fashion, everyone seems to have rolled their sleeves up and got on with the job. In many instances, agents are reporting its business as usual if not a bit better. The world didn’t crash and burn after Brexit and fortunately commonsense prevailed and the Government got on with selecting a new Prime Minster with some speed. At least there are some clear elements of “certainty”.
The desire to change and adapt however, has been one of the constant elements that we have witnessed in our meetings with prospective members since the Land & New Homes Network launched. Its all the more impressive when you take into account that we have been talking with Estate Agents who are already successful and market leading businesses in their local areas. They could well be forgiven for being of the mindset to think, “why change?” As the saying goes, “If it’s not broken, don’t fix it’.
However, the one common ingredient they all have is that they never stand still. They are constantly looking to improve every aspect of their business; be it their customer service touch points, their internal systems and processes, improving their use of historic data or developing income streams of new business to compliment and enhance their current offering.
To many estate agents, Land & New Homes has been an area that they’ve thought about, wanted to do or dabbled in but never really cracked. With our support, tools and expert guidance this is now a significant area of their market that they are able to not only grow quickly, but also gives them the edge over conventional estate agency in building another profit centre into their business whilst generating more opportunities such as:
- More valuation and part exchange opportunities from new homes sites
- Tap into the many Lettings opportunities from sites selling to Investors
- Financial service opportunities
- Conveyancing referrals
Over the last fortnight, we have carried out two Networking Breakfasts with house builders and estate agents. Who’d have thought it was possible to have 4 house builders and 5 separate estate agency firms sitting around a table for a civilised breakfast? Well, that’s exactly what our members are doing and the response has been overwhelming.
Only on Friday we met with a house builder who couldn’t quite believe what he was witnessing as the box of tricks kept getting better and better!
- More Land
- More Contacts
- Consistent Approach to Pricing and Service
- As well as an ever expanding network of like-minded agents
The icing on the cake – he was introduced to two off-market opportunities by 3pm on the same day.
These events are happening every week. This week we are focusing on the South East and next week its all about the South West followed by a trip to the North.
In the words of Henry Ford: “If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself”.
