We’ve been very busy behind the scenes at the Land and New Homes HQ over the past three months.
Here’s a taste of the projects we’ve been working on and the results we’ve been delivering for our members.
Over the last 3 months we have provided an out-sourced service to 14-member firms to robustly work through the 3-year planning data for their respective areas.
The information and data gathering is something our expert land researchers excel at. It’s hard work and requires a lot of skill and knowledge but it’s proving enormously beneficial to our members.
This work has typically involved our Land Researchers clocking up thousands of miles to physically visit each of the sites which are identified as having had a planning consented within the last 3 years.
During the period 1139 sites have been visited.
The results of the exercise are incredible in terms of open opportunities for estate agents to generate fee potential aside of building up their overall awareness and utilising the data for research purposes.
In a snap shot, here are the results.
463 private unit sites with planning consent and no work currently underway – That’s a whopping 41% – could the vendor be tempted to sell the land or what about the sales?
330 sites currently under construction – that’s 29% – were these on the radar previously, what’s been done to try and win the business?
9963 private sale units consented and not under construction.
More than 11,000 private sale units under construction.
Within these numbers there’s big opportunities to win instructions, earn some great fees and build lasting relationships with developers, landowners and future clients.
We also carried out similar exercises over a longer period for clients, however we specifically wanted to focus on the results from the 3-month period 1st May to 31st July to emphasise that these numbers are for 14 firms with an average of 3 branches each and all outside of London.
If you’re heading to the EA Masters event in September we will be providing exclusive insight from our stand to attendees so long as they don’t compete with our existing member firms. If you’re interested get in touch to book a provisional time to see us as we’re already generating huge interest on this subject.
We’ve got the inside track on the entire UK so if you want to know the numbers for your area get in touch.
Thanks for reading.
